It then told me to ring a specific number and pick from some options. Seems odd to me - if it was a legit message from O2, you’d think it’d be all proper and automated, without telling you what to do like that.

Got a warning that the number might be a telemarketer. Then outta nowhere, got a text saying something like "You missed a call from me on (Date/time here). This is a free Call Alert from O2." It then told me to ring a certain number and pick from a list of choices. If it were legit, I’d expect it to be a proper automated message without telling you what to do next like that, plus the grammar would probs be spot on.

I tried calling back but the number was disconnected because they think it’s linked to some kind of scam.
