So, I got this call from someone saying they were from Energy Funding Service. They told me it’s some sort of government-run charity programme aimed at cutting down carbon emissions.

Got a letter supposedly from some energy support scheme, with this number 01618833143 on it. My name wasn’t on the letter at all, but it claimed I was listed in their records. At first it seemed really legit, but after going over it a bunch of times, I realised it’s a scam. They kept pushing to get me to call and book a meeting with an 'advisor' which felt sketchy.

I got a call claiming they’re from some energy grant scheme called ECO Government or something like that. They gave me a reference number like ECO21/GRANT BUILDING REF44223788. They told me to send stuff back to PO Box 387, Barnstable EX32 2HA. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a letter dated 23 September 2021 from someone called Energy Funding Service, and this number was in it. I’ve lived at this address for more than 50 years and no idea who they’re talking about. Feels like a scam to me.

I came across a government scheme aimed at cutting carbon through some kind of non profit, charity setup called Energy Funding Service. I rang the number from the official list and put in an application a few weeks back. Had an assessment done and so far seems legit, not a scam.
