I’ve had to block this overseas lady, she’s definitely up to no good. A scam involving loft insulation, no less! It’s rather unsettling she had all my personal details, including my full name. Quite a worry, to be honest.

Received a call from 01618832697, showed it was coming from Manchester. The guy on the line knew my name and was trying to sell me insulation to reduce my heating bills. Definitely one of those cold calls.

Got a call on my mobile from a woman with a foreign accent, who knew both my name and postcode. She claimed it was a follow-up to some covid survey, which I’ve never even taken part in. When I asked how she got my number, she said it wasn’t listed on the telephone preference service and that I’d done a covid survey before. I told her that sounded like cold calling to me. She denied it. I asked her to wait while I checked the number she was calling from, but before I could, she just said goodbye and hung up.

I found it really annoying and quickly ended the call. Since then, that number's been blocked - totally unsolicited and unwanted!

Today I got a phone call from someone claiming to be with a company. He was going on about how much cash I could save by getting solar panels fitted. Thing is, he never mentioned which company he was with, so I just hung up.
