A lovely South African lady, with a rather thick accent, proceeded to tell me, quite emphatically, that I was being absolutely rude, and suggested I might want to "get a proper life." This, despite the fact that she was the one ringing me for the third time at a rather late hour, 8:45 in the evening, on my work phone. I’m quite keen to track down this company so I can confront them in person and properly express how frustrating it is to be inundated with these constant calls, both day and night. It’s absolutely infuriating!

Got a call saying I was in some sort of accident, which I definitely wasn’t. As soon as I told them that, they just cut me off. Caller ID was blocked too.

Got a dodgy call about some RTA thing, bloke said he was from AMS Legal dept. When I asked for his manager, he just cut the call. Then 4 days later, got another call from 01106396098, different guy this time, and he did the same thing, ended the call when I asked for the manager.

Really aggressive bloke asking about my work schedule. When I told him I'm on the TPS and he shouldn’t be ringing me, he got all stroppy and wanted to know why it was a problem since it’s his job as well. I said I don’t drive and then he just ended the call. Watch out for these calls.

No idea who called me but sounded like some muppet trying to find out if I had any personal injury claims. I just tell them I work for a firm doing the exact same thing as they’re pitching, like an energy provider if they’re trying to switch suppliers or a phone company if they’re pushing new contracts. This time it was some claims management lot. Usually that shuts them up and cuts down on the hassle, but these ones keep rattling on. I’ve blocked a few numbers but they seem to have endless ones to call from!

Got a call from a lady about some rta thing, told her to shove her scam right where the sun don’t reach. She called back in under a minute, said it weren’t a scam and handed me over to her “manager” - all on the same line, lol. I asked which rta he was on about, he said something from 18 months to 3 years ago, I just cracked up, then he suddenly hung up.

Constantly getting calls about ppi scams, it’s really annoying and they should be fined. If it’s not ppi, it’s other cold callers like accident claim companies. I’ve blocked loads now, it feels like harassment but sometimes I just pick up to be safe.

They've called me three times already on my work mobile. When I ask who they're after, they just launch straight into saying it's about an accident. I asked who they're looking for and they gave me the name of the bloke who owned this business number ages ago, like over ten years now and he retired! I’m not even male! I never pick up calls from hidden numbers so I blocked it straight away. They rang me 3 times over 12 days at various times like 2.30 in the afternoon, 6.10 early evening and then 7.30 at night. After seeing all the comments here, I decided to just block the number.

Got a call about a supposed “small car crash” I wasn’t involved in. They claimed my number came from either my insurance or the police but wouldn’t say which because of “data privacy rules”. I told them that’s not how data privacy works and they got all annoyed, daring me to explain it to them properly!
