Honestly, as rubbish as this sounds, it’s been oddly comforting to see these comments today. I got a CV review and felt gutted when they said it was “seemingly” below average. Reading that loads of other people got the same feedback makes me think they’re just trying to make a quick bit of cash. After I got my review, I messaged them to say I was surprised by the results, which explains the call I got later from that number. I’m no pro at CVs but I tried my best, so I’ll probably get someone else to take a look now.

They rang me today after sending me loads of emails previously. I looked up the number and ended up on this site. My cv scored 54% on content and 51% on layout, even tho I already paid nearly £100 for a review a few months ago from a different company. It really surprised me to see such a poor result. Now I reckon they never even bothered checking my cv properly and were just trying to push me into buying one of their CV review deals.

I’ve been receiving incessant calls from this number, and I suspect it's linked to the same firm pestering me via email. They seem to be after cash to assist with overhauling one’s CV. Quite ridiculous, really!

CVKnowHow gave me the same marks as the rest! 54% content, 51% design, and an overall 52.5%. Really happy I missed their call actually, otherwise I'd never have stumbled on this site to see that my CV isn’t awful after all! I’d just revamped it, so their score did bummed me out a bit. A few days back, I used their CV review service. Everything seemed alright apart from one thing that caught my eye - they mentioned that having my age on the CV was an error, but I'm certain there's no age listed anywhere. After reading through other reviews, one comment really stuck with me: "SAME answer 54% content, 51% on Layout, 52.5% average." Mine had the exact same feedback. They’ve started calling me today, so I’ve blocked their number and wiped out all their emails now.

CV Knowhow is a total rip-off. I sent them 3 different CVs, including one that was professionally done, and they all came back with the exact same score and feedback. I didn’t even know they had my CV - they must have grabbed it from some job site. Honestly, if you check the pic of the reviewers, they look like they’ve just left school, so I’m not sure they’re really the pros they claim to be. The feedback was literally identical, except one bit where they moaned about me not having an address on mine (he did tho). Feels like they just want your money for a rubbish service. If you're not landing interviews, don't just blame your CV. Sometimes you just gotta apply for better suited roles and get it.

There’s a firm called CV-Knowhow, I sent my CV in for a free review and they replied saying it needed improving and they could rewrite it for a fee. Seemed a bit dodgy to me because I got offered a part-time role with a local solicitor’s office just from my first CV, which I uploaded a few days before Christmas. It was only 11 working days from when I sent it in to getting the job offer, so I reckon my original CV must have been spot on. Just to add, I put my CV together in under a day.

I've had a right nuisance lately with someone ringing my home number repeatedly. They only bothered to leave a message once, and get this-they didn’t even bother to ask for my name! Just the other day in London, I got some assistance with my CV from Job Centre Plus, and I can't help but wonder if that’s where they’ve got my personal details from.
