I received a call from a firm apparently linked to Consumer Credit, or some such name, based in Manchester. They were after my wife, which struck me as rather disingenuous, perhaps thinking she'd be an easier target. I decided to end the conversation abruptly and promptly blocked the number. - Caller: Consumer Credit, or similar.

They've used names like litigation law, consumer reclaim, queensbeck and consumer credit legal. Cant help but think there's a reason behind all the name changes. One thing's for sure: sketchy.

A woman rang me up, searching for a specific individual. I didn’t confirm whether she dialled the right number or not, but simply enquired who she was. She claimed to be associated with a Litigation Law firm based in Manchester, probing into any loans I might have had. I informed her that I hadn’t taken out any, and she assured me she'd remove my number from their list.
