Likewise! I received five calls all in one day, claiming there's a warrant out for my arrest or some such nonsense. I didn't pick up but did check the answering machine, only to find they’d left messages on there as well. The silver lining is that it's only happened that one day, and nothing since. I’d advise steering clear of answering those calls entirely. Still, I keep my fingers crossed that I won’t end up being carted off anywhere! These folks are just a bunch of rogues, absolute rogues.

Yesterday at 5.47pm, a fella called my brother who’s only 17 and struggles with mental health issues, saying HMRC are taking legal action against him. Got a scam call again, this time pretending to be HMRC with some scary threats. Best thing to do is just hang up and don’t press any buttons when they ask. Makes me worry about how an older person might cope with that kind of call.

0161 850 8612 keeps calling me, said it was HMRC. Got the call twice today & loads of times over the last few weeks. Just hang up straight away. DONT BOTHER replying.

Got a call from 01618508612 around lunchtime. It was some automated voice with an American or Canadian accent claiming to be from HMRC, saying I had an arrest warrant. I just hung up and called 1471 to check the number. I’m 70 years old and honestly found the whole thing quite upsetting.
