My mum, who’s 85, got a call from these lot and it really scared her. I looked up the number on my phone and as soon as I did, they called again straightaway. Pretty sure this is their website. I’m into cyber security and have some serious expertise. You can’t hide from me. Counting... 97, 98, 99... you’re already caught!

Got this weird automated message saying HMRC is taking legal action and to press 1 to chat with your case officer - haha, they didn’t even bother including any other options to make it seem real! Then some bloke called 'Remie' jumps on the line, but the audio was all muffled like he was shouting over a noisy call centre. I hung about for a bit as he got annoyed, yelling "Hello? HELLO?" then I just hung up. Do yourself a favour and do the same - it’s a waste of time!

You should definitely get the police involved! These scammers have been around ages and steal cash from folks. If you report the number, they usually block it in a couple of hours.

Those HMRC scammers were really pushy when they called my grandma. They even tried to scare her by saying the police would get involved if she didn’t hand over her National Insurance number and some other info. Such nasty people!

I received a rather bewildering call informing me of a lawsuit supposedly filed against me. The caller inquired about my name, to which I responded that I’d like further details. At that moment, he dismissed me rather rudely, telling me to bugger off. He later returned to repeat his admonition to depart. Then he cut the line. To add insult to injury, we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service and still being bombarded with calls.

Loads of calls keep coming from 0161 numbers, but tonight I got one where some bloke was mouthing off about suing me or something. I ignored it as I never pick up these sorts of calls. Plus, my landline's set as a private number anyway.

My dad, who's 84, got a call from these people too. He hit 1 and ended up speaking with a woman who sounded Indian. As soon as he did that, he figured it was a scam. Honestly, it's pretty concerning stuff.

This bloke claiming to be James Parker from HMRC rang me up saying I had a lawsuit hanging over me. He sounded so proper I nearly gave in, but managed to get off the call by saying I needed to look after my poorly husband. Seriously dodgy, don't fall for it!

They kept saying they’d been trying to reach me. As soon as I twigged it was a spam call, I just hung up. I use BT Call Protect, so I’m not sure how that number even got through. Anyway, it’s blocked now.

My elderly neighbour got really distressed after I phoned her. They sounded so genuine when they said they were from HMRC, threatening legal action. It’s really frustrating because it caused a lot of upset to my 89 year old neighbour.

I got a call too, it was a recorded voice claiming HMRC is taking legal action against me, telling me to ring a certain number to talk to a case worker... I’m pretty sure that number is just a trick to scam money out of people. It’s really scary to think how many folks might actually believe it.
