Just got home from my trip and there was a voicemail about some HMRC lawsuit. They never said my name, which was a dead giveaway this was a scam. I got a call from this number, 01618507292, and i usually avoid picking up when it’s an unknown caller. Still, they left a voicemail warning that HMRC is suing me and to press 1 for more info. I wasn’t about to take the risk and have already blocked the number.

Got a call from 01618507292 saying they were from HMRC but it’s a total scam. If you press 1 like they ask, they put you through to a premium rate number where they keep you on the line for ages. The person on the other end, who sounded Asian like a lot of these scams, tries to keep you chatting to rack up a huge bill - easily into the hundreds. Just don’t pick up or answer these calls, because HMRC don’t ring you to threaten legal actions like this.

I got a call from 0161 850 7292 or maybe 1850 7292, from a Manchester number. They said they were from HMRC, but sounded dodgy. I told my phone provider straight away and ignored the call. They were asking me to press buttons which could cost loads of money. If you get this on your landline, don’t do anything they ask!

Two mornings in a row this number rang me. I wasn’t home when it first called and it sounded like some sort of automated message, just kept saying 'office'. I tried calling back and heard a guy with an American accent saying he was out of the office. I ended up leaving a nice message asking them not to call me anymore.

Apparently there’s a warrant out for me and the cops said they’ll be here in about 30 minutes. I ended up ringing this Asian woman, who clearly wasn’t very nice, just a total idiot in fact, and she just dropped the call on me.

I answered a call, there was some robotic voice to start with and when I pressed one, some woman with an Asian accent came on and told me there was a warrant for unpaid taxes. She said her name was Lisa Scott and asked for my postcode, which I gave her. Then she just hung up out of nowhere. She claimed she was from HMRC or something to do with her majesty. Strange call!

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC saying they were taking me to court. Thing is, they’d actually phoned through on a 999 emergency line. When I asked about that, they just ended the call straight away.
