Got a call from an unknown number showing as international. The person on the other end claimed HMRC were planning to sue me. When I didn’t play along, they just dropped the call. I then tried to contact HMRC myself, but ended up with some automated message charging £3.60 an hour - I reckon it would have kept me on forever if I stayed connected. Seems like it’s not only the scammers taking the mick these days!

Got a call on my answerphone from 01618 505620 saying HMRC had launched legal action against me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer right away. This morning, I got a rather dodgy automated call claiming that I was about to face a lawsuit. The name of the company supposedly involved was all jumbled and unclear.
