I've been getting the same call around four times recently. They claim to be from an eco energy service and are asking if I'm aware that my current contract is up for renewal. Well, I'm well aware, but it's not due yet! I simply ended the call. I can only assume they're fishing for my bank information to sort out a renewal that isn’t necessary.

Got a voicemail last week from 06168502 158 saying they were from EDF. I’m usually on my own at work, so it was a bit odd. They said my energy contract was coming up for renewal, but that’s not true at all. Then they tried to get me to reveal when it’s actually ending - like I’d ever share that info! Definitely suspicious.

Some bloke called saying he was from EDF, but when I was a bit vague he got all aggressive. I rang EDF myself and they had no clue who he was. Then he rang back, started pushing again, and ended up hanging up on me.

someone called saying they were from eon, but when i asked questions they got really rude. later, i called eon myself on a different phone and found out that no one from eon had phoned me at all. i reckon the scammers stayed on the line pretending to be eon and tricked me into giving my password. i changed it straight away after confirming with the real eon. these people are really dangerous!

Kept ringing me about electric deals, even after I said I wasn't interested. Called straight back and said we were already with npower direct. He asked for a contact name, which I gave, but then he went on about how I was lying. Def not picking up from that number again.

Today, I received a phone call from a chap claiming to be from Opus Energy, stating he wanted to discuss renewing my contract. When I requested that he send me the pricing details via email, he replied that he could only provide the information online. That immediately raised my suspicions; it all felt rather dodgy. I couldn't locate this number anywhere on the official Opus website, which further convinced me it's likely a scam call.
