They told me the company was Phillips O'Brien, based at 27-31 John Dalton Street, Manchester M2 4FW. They said it was for some kind of lifestyle survey and mentioned an offer for a discount card. They also admitted they’d had quite a few complaints about making unsolicited calls.

Got a call from that number earlier today, not sure why they bothered. First time I noticed it ringing actually, but I’ve gotta say, the amount of cold calls have really dropped lately. Best thing to do is just let it ring out or even just turn your phone off for a bit. They usually ring somewhere between 10 in the morning and 8 in the evening. Don’t really hold it against the person calling - if you pick up, just hang up quick or answer and put the phone down, at the end of the day, it’s their credit they're using.
