Total con for sure! When I looked up the number on Google, it linked to a garage doors firm in Manchester, selling parts and all that. But the person who called me claimed they were from some credit company, said they’d just got my file about credit issues or something. Didn’t say where they got my info from though. I just mucked about, pretending not to get it and being a bit of a pain, and after a while, they just went and hung up on me. Proper dodgy!

They’ve even had to sever ties with their phone number due to the influx of people reaching out to them, mistaking those spam calls for legitimate inquiries. So, if you find yourself receiving a call from this number, it’s safe to say that it likely isn’t a proper business, and there's a fair chance they’re trying to pull a fast one on you. This phone number actually belongs to a proper business, but sadly scammers have been faking it to dodge spam filters. I managed to speak with the owner who was really sorry about the confusion. They explained it’s not their staff making those calls and they've even had to cut off their phone line because so many people kept ringing them back, thinking it was the spam callers. So if you get a call from this number out of the blue, it’s very likely a con, since any honest company wouldn’t pretend to be another business to get through to you.
