Most of the time, when the phone cuts off after about 4 or 5 rings, it’s probably just some telemarketer trying to pitch something.

Watch out for debt scam calls! Best thing is just to ignore them. Don’t pick up if you don’t know the number.

Got a call from someone pretending to be EE, saying they had an iPhone on offer for a bargain price. I’m not even with EE, so I told them no way. Definitely sounded like a scam, so I reported it straight away.

I let it ring till it went to voicemail then called them back but got told all the “green energy” consultants were tied up. Since I don't handle any bills, this feels like a dodgy call to me.

Got a call, they left a voicemail but it was just dead silence for about 15 seconds. Looks like one of those dodgy spam calls to me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a debt help company, sounded like one of those cold calls. They asked me to confirm my identity, but I just gave no details. It was clearly one of those automated calls waiting for someone to answer, you can hear a faint beep when it switches over to a real person. I usually just pick up and stay silent for a bit to see if there's a delay before a human speaks - if there is, it's a robocall. After that, I simply refuse any requests they throw at me!

It’s really frustrating, I keep getting calls from places like Manchester and Liverpool, usually long after 5pm, and they don’t stop ringing. Had no choice but to install a call blocker and tracker. If anyone can figure out what’s going on, please share it with us all.
