So this guy with an Indian accent called me, said I was caught downloading some dodgy files and my service would be disconnected in a couple of weeks. I just shrugged it off, had a quick shower, and left the phone hanging.

This number got in touch with my father-in-law, and fortunately, we managed to break into the conversation after about an hour. An Asian chap on the line asserted he was representing BT, yet he couldn't provide a departmental code or anything resembling a proper employee ID. We're now in the midst of sorting out the mess that was left behind, as some bank information was unfortunately left out in the open on the desk.

I received a rather alarming call from a chap named David, his accent clearly indicating he hails from India. He claimed to represent BT and ominously informed me that my internet connection was set to be cut off imminently-in as little as two hours! He went on to say that I could be without service for a week. Then, just like that, the line went dead. Quite the unsettling conversation, I must say!

A gentleman with an Indian or Pakistani accent made some rather alarming threats towards an elderly woman in Rotherham, insisting he possessed the deeds to her residence and had purchased it seven years prior. He proclaimed that his family was set to move in just the following day. However, the pensioner's daughter took charge of the situation, confronting the scammer. She informed him that her husband is a solicitor and they would vigorously contest any bogus claims against her mother. Following this, the caller abruptly ended the conversation.

I received a rather dodgy phone call recently. The individual at the other end, who claimed to represent BT, insisted that they are the primary internet provider for all companies. When I pressed for a contact number to verify their identity, the caller - who identified herself as Gracie Martin and provided an employee ID of DC069 - offered me a number (02032397679) to confirm her legitimacy. However, when I called that number and shared her employee ID, the person on the line promptly hung up! It has raised my concerns that they might be trying to access computers remotely for nefarious purposes and swipe sensitive information.

A rather dubious caller purporting to be from the National Crime Agency rang me, claiming they’d detected some suspicious actions on my computer. When I told them I didn’t own a computer, they rather cheekily provided me with what seemed to be the genuine number for the National Crime Agency (I made sure to verify it). When I pressed them on how they could allege I owned a computer if I clearly didn’t, they unceremoniously hung up. One can only suspect they were attempting to gain access to my device for nefarious reasons.

I received a rather fuzzy call from a woman with a rather strong Indian accent, claiming to be from BT regarding my internet service. I informed her that I don’t actually use BT, to which she insisted that BT is the backbone of all internet providers and that essentially, everyone relies on them. I wasn't keen on the conversation, so I decided to hang up.

I calmly informed her that I was documenting the conversation and intended to report it to the police, at which point she promptly disconnected. The name she provided was Gracie. Quite the experience!

some bloke rang me saying he was from bt. as soon as i told him i wasn’t with bt, he just hung up right away. then later that same day, i got two more calls where the number was hidden but i could hear a similar background sound. everytime i said hello, they’d cut off straight away. weird stuff.

I received a rather curious call from an individual with a distinct accent, claiming to be an officer. They ominously mentioned a complaint lodged against my business. It seems a Chinese firm has somehow been using my email for their trading activities. If only I'd scored a complimentary meal out of this or perhaps found myself in a whimsical realm like Never Never Land!

I’ve been receiving dodgy calls trying to convince me to switch on my computer, claiming that my device is being hacked. It’s definitely them trying to pull a fast one!
