i reckon ive blocked around 30 calls from manchester alone, all pulling the same insurance trick. somehow your number gets passed around these scammers who already have some info on you, and for over two years now they just keep coming back. they’ll say stuff like a third party has made a claim against you or even try to convince you that you’re owed money. i bet if you play along for long enough, they’ll ask for some kind of ‘fee’. weirdly, they never send anything in writing and your real insurance firm always says they haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about.

Random phone call from some number I didn’t recognise, didn’t have a clue who they were or why they were ringing me. I just ended the call and decided to check online if anyone else had any info about them.

kept getting calls from some national agency about a car crash i had last year. i told them everything was sorted out and that i was tired of being bothered. then the person on the other end said they had details from the other party involved, but as soon as i pressed her on what exactly she meant, she just ended the call. they kept ringing from loads of different numbers, all about that same accident. total waste of time!

They rang me twice, once yesterday and again today, but didn’t bother leaving any message. I’ve just blocked the number now.
