8 yearsSomeone from that number rang me, but I didn’t pick up. When I rang back, a guy with a clearly Asian accent answered. I told him I’d missed their call and asked what it was about and which company he was from. He replied something about "car accident investigation." I asked where he was calling from, and he said Sheffield, which seemed odd since it’s a 0161 code, normally Manchester. When I asked his name, he said Mike Watson - quite funny! He went on to ask if I’d had a car crash in the last two years. I said no, and then he just ended the call.SheffieldManchesterMike Watson8 yearsOver the past three months, this number has rung me twice, each time inquiring if I’d been in a car crash. Earlier today, when I answered, an Asian lady asked who she was speaking with, then went straight to asking if I'd had a recent accident. Before hanging up, I told her outright they were scammers. I don’t even live in the 0161 area anymore, so it seems they’re trying to catch more people now. I might be retired, but I’m not falling for their tricks.8 yearsAbout six hours back, I received a ring from some accident firm, but I never pay bribes, so this has to be a scam.8 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be with National Accident Helpline but couldn’t confirm even the basics. They had no idea what my name was, which vehicle was involved in the accident they said I had, or when it supposedly took place (they just said sometime in the past couple of years). They couldn’t say who actually reported it, how they ended up with my number, or exactly where I lived - they just guessed and were miles off. Really annoying experience.National Accident Helpline8 yearsGot a call from a bloke named ‘Brian’ who spoke with a thick Asian accent, saying I’d been in an accident... which I definitely haven’t. He said he was from some Government department and it was really urgent that I answer his questions. I asked him where he got my number from and mentioned GDPR rules saying I never agreed to be contacted and that he needed to delete my info. That’s when he got all angry and started threatening me. I told him I was ending the call and he snapped at me saying I shouldn’t hang up! What a nightmare.Brian8 yearsI got a call on my landline from someone named Victor claiming to be from an accident investigation firm. When I asked him where he got my number from, he just ended the call. He said it was from a list saying I’d had an accident - but I haven’t had any accident at all!Victor8 yearsI got a call from some bloke named 'John' who sounded Indian, said he was with the 'National Accident Bureau'. I hung up right away, didn’t wanna hear more. My phone’s full of blocked numbers from these kind of calls now, I’m running out of space. Why does the government just sit on their hands? They should actually stop these scammers rather than just make noise about it. The TPS really doesn’t do much good either, feels like a waste of time. =(JohnNational Accident BureauTPS8 yearsGot a call from this number twice now, yesterday and again today, but nobody spoke when I answered. Bit frustrating really. Feels like they might be trying to check if my number’s active before passing it along to someone else... oh well.8 yearsTried calling but no luck getting an answer.8 yearsI didn’t pick up since the number looked unfamiliar. Later, I looked it up and figured out it was just one of those annoying calls, probably harassment.8 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be about accident insurance, sounded dodgy so I blocked it straight away.
