Was driving when my phone kept buzzing, couldn't pick up, so I've just blocked the number now!

I’m quite intrigued to find out who that was.

Today I got a call from them pretending to be solicitors, asking me about a car crash I supposedly was involved in. I told them I hadn’t had any accident, then they asked if maybe a family member had been in one. When I said no, they just hung up. Is there anything that can be done to put a stop to these annoying calls? Thanks, Mrs P A Tighe

They said they were calling from my local council, but it was actually one of those PPI claims firms. Best to just hang up and not bother with it.
