I got a call from these people who told me to download TeamViewer. I went ahead and installed it, but when they asked me to let them connect, I refused. Be careful, they’re not from BT at all, just scammers trying to trick you!

I got a call from someone claiming to be a BT engineer saying there was an issue with my internet and that people overseas were messing with my connection. They wanted me to install some software so they could "fix" it, but it seemed fishy. When I asked if they were legit, they gave me a number to ring - 0161 8189 108 - claiming it was BT’s support line. I didn’t trust it, so I just went to the official BT site and got in touch directly. Turns out, it’s a total scam.
