This number has been hassling me nonstop for a few days now. I usually just block it, but today I gave it a ring back. Some bloke with an Indian accent answered but wouldn’t say who he was or why he was calling unless I told him my details - not a chance I was giving that out! Plus, he sounded like he was driving or something. Weird thing is, he said he wasn’t from Manchester even though the call showed as a Manchester number on my phone!

I usually just ignore these calls, so not sure what they're about. This number and others that are only slightly different have rung me loads of times a day recently, so I’m pretty certain it’s some sort of scam.

This is the 8th time I've ignored and blocked a call from a Manchester number. I bet they’ve got loads more, maybe hundreds. It’s crazy that these pests can’t be traced and stopped. Even better, why not just find them, share their info, and let everyone handle it!!

For the last week, I've been getting calls daily from a Manchester area code, but the number changes a bit each time. I dont pick up numbers I dont know, I just look them up later on. Turns out theyre all linked to this one number and all flagged here as scams or dodgy calls. I block every number, but tomorrow theres a new one ringing. Proper annoying!

Got a call from 01622 370 396 saying it was HMRC and an Officer Dennis Green warned me about legal trouble if I didn’t sort things out quickly. Definitely a scam, make sure you block this number!

I received a rather dubious call from an individual claiming to be James Anderson from HMRC, stating that there’s an outstanding warrant for my unpaid taxes. They asked me to return the call, but it's evident that no genuine HMRC official would operate in such a manner, especially considering that I have no tax liabilities whatsoever. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Yeah, I got a voicemail too. The person sounded like a weird blend of American and Indian accent. Complete nonsense. If HMRC were after you, they’d send a letter, not a dodgy call. The guy mentioned a ‘COMPLAINT IN MY NAME’ but never bothered to say my actual name, which was pretty laughable. Plus, we don’t live in America and we don’t call the court a ‘Courthouse’. Make sure you keep your wits about you.

Got a call from someone saying they’re from HMRC saying I owe tax, total scam. It was one of those robotic messages left on my voicemail. This isn’t the first time either; had a similar call from a different number before and I blocked it. Seems like they keep changing the numbers to try and get through. They really should do more to track these down and put an end to it.

Watch out for this number!!! Got a voicemail saying that the moment you get this msg, you have to ring back HM Revenue and Customs and speak to Constable Dennis Grey. They said if you don’t reply or our lawyer isn’t contacted, we’ll face serious trouble. What a load of rubbish. What nonsense are they gonna come up with next? Seriously!!! Definitely a SCAM. This number keeps calling with that exact message, so we’ve blocked it.

Some bloke rang me up with a weird accent, said I had a really nice smooth voice and asked if I fancied having a boyfriend. Then he started saying some rubbish. I hung up, but he kept ringing me back. I told him I was recording the call for the cops (which I wasn’t really). Despite that, he kept calling over and over. Not sure if I should report this to the phone company or the police. Just a heads up, be careful!

Some bloke called saying I had a PPI claim worth £7855 and that a solicitor called Alan Harper was coming over with a cheque. Nobody showed up though, and I never gave out any of my personal or financial info on purpose, so fingers crossed I'm all good. The number he called from was 0161 8188917, but when I tried calling it back, it just went straight to silence.
