I received a call from someone who introduced himself as "David" representing “National Green Energy.” He was going on about some sort of replacement boiler. They called me 4 times within three days. I picked up three of them. One time, they hung up right after I answered. Two times, they wanted me to confirm my name, and as soon as they started talking about a government grant, I just ended the call.

I left a message on their voicemail, no shocker, they just ended the call. Called back for a laugh, and the voicemail kinda said they weren’t able to take the call and to leave a message. Judging by what other folks have said, it’s likely some telemarketer trying to push stuff I don’t need (like PPI) or things I’ve already got sorted (boiler, loft insulation).

I got three calls today from someone demanding loads of cash for FCA and FSCS. I looked it up online and found others had the same thing happen. One couple even gave out all their bank info and credit card details, and ended up getting seriously scammed. I also saw a post on Facebook about the police recently catching a gang using this trick to con people. Be careful and NEVER give out your details over the phone. Always ask for a contact number and do your homework before you say anything!

He had an Indian accent and said his name was Freddie. He was calling about a government grant to swap out our heating. When I told him I wasn't interested, he went on with "oh come on love"!!!! He called me love like four times! I asked why it wasn’t alright for me to say no nicely and why he kept calling me love. Then he just hung up on me!!

They rang me three times today, demanding a huge payment supposedly for FCA and FSCS. I looked it up online and found a similar case where a couple ended up giving their bank info and credit card details, only to be scammed badly. I also saw on Facebook recently that the police caught a gang doing the same kind of scam. Seriously, be careful! Never share your details on the phone. Ask for a number and make sure you do your own checking first!!!

I havent picked up, I reckon its one of those dodgy calls about PPI after seeing what others said. I’m already sorting this with a proper firm and waiting for a small payout. Who in their right mind would hand over their bank details to these lot? First I got a call from some “international” number, then this one popped up talking about “free” heating supposedly covered by the government. They kept at it for about twenty minutes before finally giving up! Bit pathetic really, these scammers. Got a call from an Indian bloke saying he’s got some PPI money to sort out, rang from a mobile but I blocked it. Now he's ringing from this number 0161 818 8822, says he’s gonna email me the info soon. Bit sus if you ask me.

They rang me again after I ended the first call from a mobile number. An Indian woman said I was due a PPI refund and then started asking for my bank information. After that, they passed me to an Indian bloke named Jason who was trying to sell me life insurance. Said he was with the FCA. Seems dodgy to me.
