I always get a bit wary when someone kicks off a call with "How are you today?" especially when their voice sounds muffled or like they’re speaking through water. Just today, I put up an ad on Gumtree for Norwich, so not sure why someone from Manchester is ringing me. Usually, I just share my email in these situations and I think I’ll stick to that from now on.

After putting up an ad on Gumtree, this number rang me too. Luckily, I had already stopped all calls from 0161 numbers, so they couldn’t get through. Bad luck for whoever was on the other end!

Been putting stuff up on Gumtree today and all of a sudden this number has been blowing up my phone non-stop! I’m certain it’s not about my ads since everything’s for collection in Plymouth only. Seems like they’re just grabbing phone numbers straight off the Gumtree listings. Very annoying!

I had almost the same thing happen. Thought maybe it was someone replying to a gumtree ad I had put up. The bloke was mumbling so much I couldn’t catch a word, and as soon as I told him that, he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call today from someone saying they were with Churchill Insurance, saying I was involved in a traffic crash. But I haven't been in any accident at all. Definitely a scam.

0161818818184 this number called me and I picked up because I’m selling some stuff and thought it might be related. He was hard to understand and mentioned something about insurance or a claim I think. I just hung up after a bit, didn’t get what it was all about.

Received a phone call from someone claiming to discuss an incident I supposedly had over the past year. I was puzzled as I couldn't recall any such event. He then switched gears and mentioned an accident from the last three years, but again, my memory drew a blank. Finally, he brought up an accident involving a relative, yet surprisingly, that didn't ring any bells either. At that point, he wrapped up the conversation and hung up. Quite the peculiar exchange, I must say!

I've been receiving calls from that number repeatedly, and I must say, the individual on the other end is extremely discourteous! I've made it abundantly clear that I want him to stop calling my phone, yet he continues to ring me. Honestly, I'm kicking myself for not blocking him sooner. Thankfully, I've finally taken that step, so fingers crossed this nonsense comes to an end. It was becoming utterly infuriating!

Initially, I received a call from this number, inquiring if I had been involved in a car accident. I replied in the negative, and the conversation promptly concluded.
To my surprise, about an hour later, my phone rang again, and an individual with an accent from India was on the line. He seemed to have done a bit of digging about me as he referenced an ad I had placed on Gumtree just a few days prior.
To my utter disbelief, he expressed a desire to purchase me and proceeded to utter some truly vile comments. I firmly told him to back off. Unfortunately, he continued to ring me incessantly until I eventually blocked his number. Not long after, he tried his luck from another number, which I hastily blocked too. Yet again, he persisted, calling me from a third different number. After successfully blocking all three, he finally ceased his relentless pursuit.

A few weeks back, I purchased this number through Skype, and it appears someone else has been using it for making calls about insurance claims. It's rather bewildering, as I've received numerous calls from individuals insisting they’ve missed a call from me, when I hadn’t actually called anyone at all! It's quite frustrating, to say the least!

Received a call today from a voice with an Asian accent, as of 3rd February 2017. It began with "Good afternoon," even though it's barely 11 in the morning here! Then, I was hit with a torrent of rapid-fire speech, reminiscent of at least ten other calls I've had since I was involved in a car accident back in October 2016. I ended up hanging up the phone. I've tried to ring this number a whopping ten times over the course of the next day, only to be met with an operator stating, "There is a fault." Isn't it the case that all landline numbers are allocated by BT? Why on earth can't they sort this out?

I've had an absolutely dreadful experience with some incredibly disrespectful individuals who have been hurling obscenities and offensive remarks my way over the phone. It all began with what I thought was a genuine accident call, only to discover it was from a company selling undergarments! They were so impolite it's astonishing. Surely, there must be a method to track down the number and hold them accountable for their appalling behaviour, don’t you think? It can't be that difficult to bring these people to justice!

This rather peculiar bloke from India rang me earlier today, chattering away in Punjabi. As soon as I realised what was happening, I swiftly cut the call and added the number to my block list. Just a heads up, steer clear of this one!

I had a rather bizarre phone call regarding a car accident. The caller inquired if I had claimed any compensation for a crash from the previous three years. When I pressed him for specifics about the supposed incident, which I was entirely oblivious to, he claimed he couldn’t divulge that information due to data protection laws. I replied, quite reasonably, that as the individual involved, there shouldn't be any confidentiality hurdles since it essentially pertains to me. Not only that, but I pointed out that if he's distributing my details, that could very well be a breach of the data protection regulations. At that, he abruptly ended the conversation! The oddest part? He had details of my vehicle, including its make, model, colour, and registration. Definitely don’t engage with these folks!

It appears that this phone number has changed hands and is now owned by a new enterprise altogether.
I'd advise that nobody should be receiving calls from this number unless they've explicitly permitted it. This number is associated with an accountant, so there shouldn't be any nuisance calls for surveys or anything pertaining to vehicle accidents.
I would love to hear from anyone still using this number and what purpose they're putting it to.

Some chap from Asia rang me up, inquiring whether I’d been in an accident. I told him, "No," but he insisted on having a chat regardless. I wasn’t having it, so I ended the call. To my surprise, he tried reaching out again yesterday and then today as well. Bit persistent, if you ask me!
