These persistent calls are driving me mad! When I finally pick up, they either (a) abruptly disconnect or (b) leave me in an eerie silence until a woman chimes in with a quick ‘Goodbye’ before hanging up. I’ve attempted to call them back to voice my displeasure, but all I get is that frustrating engaged tone. I can't help but think they’re pestering others as well. It's an absolute bother for those of us on unconventional hours just trying to catch some shut-eye - utterly thoughtless of them!

I reckon this is just one of those annoying calls. Occasionally, overseas places manage to get numbers that look local. It's probably safest to just block it.

There’s this awkward quiet and then out comes a woman’s voice just saying “bye”. What’s the point of that?

these lot just wont stop ringing me. every time i pick up, either they just cut off straight away or there’ll be dead silence for a bit before a woman says goodbye. i tried ringing them back to have a word, but all i get is a busy tone - probably doing the same to others. blocked the number now so they can’t bother me again. honestly, what’s the point of all this? it’s a proper annoyance, especially for those of us on shifts trying to grab some sleep. absolute muppets!
