They were being really pushy and claimed to be from O2, but my phone contract is with a different company.

Some bloke called sayin he was from the FCA and asked if I knew my bank was investigatin some dodgy share dealing or stock market fraud. I just kept answerin with NO, one word stuff. He got proper annoyed and asked me to explain more, so I told him in me scouse accent, “Come on mate, you’ve got the info, you tell me.” Then he hung up quick sharp. Proper shady scam tryin to nick me bank details. When the caller ID showed Wavecrest with a Manchester number, I knew right away to stay clear. Watch out for this one!

This guy claimed to be from Aviva Insurance, but had a strong Indian or Pakistani accent. He actually knew my name but then asked me how my evening was, even though it was midday! I said “sorry, what?” and he just hung up straight away like he knew he messed up.

Just like everyone else here, I got a call from someone named 'Ray Baxter' claiming to be from 'Manchester' about some crash involving a car I've never had. When I asked where exactly in Manchester he was, he got all flustered and kept telling me to recall this accident (which never happened) in the vehicle I never owned. I had to end the call since I was busy with work. He got annoyed when I couldn’t stop laughing at him. Quite entertaining really. Not sure how risky this is, but it’s definitely a scam - he even got muddled and admitted it when I called it out. Oh well.

Got a call about a car crash I was supposedly involved in. When I asked where he got his info from, he just told me to “f*** off” and called me “a f***ing boot.” I told him I’d be reporting the call and to stop ringing me. Then he said he’d ring every day and would check in the morning to see if I’d made a complaint. Proper annoying and aggressive.

I told him straight I never had any accident but he kept insisting I did and needed to recall it. I just said thanks for calling, ended the call and blocked the number after that.

Recently, I received a call from 016181448, with the caller insisting that I was eligible for compensation that I hadn’t claimed after an accident I was involved in. When I pressed them for specific details about that incident within the last three years, I requested they erase my personal information and subsequently hung up. Almost immediately, I was called back, presumably by the same individual, albeit from a different number - 016188522540 - inquiring why I had ended the call. After a brief hold, I was connected to a supervisor who, under some pressure, revealed that he was working for a company called ACHL. However, he was unable to furnish me with any further specifics, such as dates. I reiterated my wish to have my number removed from their list, but received a rather blunt “no” in response, and was told they would keep reaching out to me whenever they could. I've since blocked the number and I truly hope they refrain from contacting me again.

They started off by saying "UK Claims Helpline". There was loads of noise in the background. Really gave me the feeling it was some sort of scam. I just ended the call straight away.

There was no voicemail left behind, and when I tried to return the call, I was unable to get through.

On the 8th of August I got a call from this number, and the person on the other end was really impolite. This number shouldn’t even be active. It honestly ought to be shut down.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number, seems like it was either a scam or a wrong number, not really sure which.
