Got a call from 0161 818 0000 on Thursday 26/11/20 - a bloke with a foreign accent claiming it was some kind of "verification" call. Didn’t bother using my name. I was too tied up to really listen or ask anything. They normally just drop the line when I don’t respond properly. I got a call saying they needed to check if I’d been in any car crashes over the past two years. But they couldn’t provide any specific info or when this supposed accident happened. The person said they worked for PA claims in Birmingham, but he was actually located in Liverpool. The address he gave me for the office wasn’t real. When I asked why the firm was in Birmingham, he was in Liverpool, yet he called from a Manchester number, he just hung up on me!

They rang up claiming there was some sort of report from the national road accident thing about me having a crash. I asked them to tell me all my info and then they said it was someone living at my address. I told them I don’t even drive, and they said I was in a taxi then. I said I’ve never even been in a taxi before, then suddenly they said sorry and ended the call. That was when I finally could tell what they were on about.

Got a call yday afternoon (Monday) - bloke was going on about a car crash and insurance stuff. Had a pretty thick accent. I asked how they got my personal health details, ‘cos that’s a breach of GDPR, surely. Then the caller started talking about the UK government and some prize I’d won. Got another call saying “you’ve been in a car crash in the past couple years” - honestly, just hung up straight away.

Just got a call from those so-called ‘car accident insurance helpline’ people. I answered since the number was Manchester and I do business there. Right away, about 10 seconds into his spiel, I could tell it was a load of rubbish. Blocked them straight away.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent from some hectic sounding office, trying to check on my supposed "accident". Said he was from "Accident Claim Service" but couldnt even tell me where their office was. If you’re up for it, drag the convo out and confuse them - their English isnt great so it’s pretty simple. Might wanna have something loud handy to finish the call off, like a party horn or something.

Typical "you were in a car crash not long ago" nonsense. I asked her to say the company name again - it sounded like "Victorius Ltd" to me. Ended up hanging up on her.
