My mum got a call from this number saying she could get loads of money, sounded fishy to me. It’s definitely a scam, so I’d say just block it and don't answer.

Harringtons Advisory LTD and their troublesome PPI claims are a right bother! If you've received a call from these blokes, be sure to take your complaints to the appropriate authorities. I’m on a quest to ensure this company gets what’s coming to them. They’ve been cold calling, harassing unsuspecting folk, and their customer service, if you can even call it that, leaves a lot to be desired. It’s quite alarming; they’re cleverly using local area codes - I’ve already tracked down 50 different numbers associated with them, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They’re also connected to various other enterprises dishing out pension advice, accident claims, mortgage consultations, and whatnot. They seem to have a knack for changing their name, making them all the more elusive - whether it’s Harrington, Harrington Associates, Harringtons of Berwick, or Harrington Claims; the list goes on. Their registered address is: HARRINGTONS ADVISORY LIMITED INWOOD HOUSE 5 CASTLECROFT ROAD BURY LANCASHIRE BL9 0LN Phone: 0161 764 3020 Company Registration No.: 07933572 Please make sure to voice your concerns to the Claims Management Regulator or the Ministry of Justice at [email protected] or ring them at 0333 200 0110. You can also reach out to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/ by calling their helpline on 0303 123 1113. For any general queries, the Legal Ombudsman can be contacted at [email protected], or by calling 0300 555 0333. Let’s hold these chaps accountable!

My wife kept getting calls on her mobile while she was working. The company claims they bought our info from some third party! Honestly, they’re just wasting everyone’s time and need to be shut down. Sounds like PPI scammers to me.

Receiving these PPI nuisance calls is just infuriating! I’ve had it up to here with a company named "Harringtons". I reckon they’re linked to this website: http://www.harringtonsadvisory.co.uk/ If it's within your grasp, don’t hesitate to block their number. It’s quite the bother, to say the least!

Just like a lot of others, they ring me about 3 times every week, and this has been happening for nearly half a year now.

This number has been ringing me up about 5 times daily, and I don't pick up, but I'm 74 years old and it's really starting to annoy me. Sometimes I'm in the middle of a nap and it just rings out of nowhere. I've tried searching online and it seems loads of folks reckon it's to do with PPI claims. Anyone know how I can make it stop?

Got a call from Harringstons PPI, who apparently got hold of my info and tried pushing their PPI service on me. Told them I’m signed up with the TPS and they just brushed it off like it didn’t concern them at all! Wasn’t having it, told them exactly what I thought and then disconnected. I’ve reported it to the ICO - if they ring you, definitely report them too.

I got a call from them looking for my hubby. They said something about helping with PPI, but he’s never had any so I told them straight away he’s not interested. Then I asked how they managed to get hold of our number since we’re ex-directory. I ended up hanging up before the guy could say anything. If he calls again, I’ll just ignore it while I’m busy!

This number kept ringing me almost every day, saying they could sort out my PPI claim. I just started giving them fake details and a false name, playing along for a laugh. After a while, they didn’t bother calling me anymore. Pretty funny how that worked out!

My nan is 96 and really unwell, and this number kept ringing her. When I called back to tell them to stop, the lady on the phone was super stubborn and said loads of other firms will keep phoning anyway. I’ve no clue how to make them leave us alone. - Jacki Moss

In the past couple of days I’ve had about 5 calls from this number. I’m signed up with the TPS but it’s clearly some PPI sales lot. The last few calls, no one even spoke, just silence before they cut off. Proper annoying!

This number just rang me up, asking if it was me and saying something about PPI claims from the 80s. I’m on the TPS list, so I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up. They called straight back almost right after, but I didn’t pick up this time!

Got a call earlier from this number claiming to be Harringtons ringing about PPI. I told them I’m ex-directory and signed up with the TPS, but they just said they were "just trying to help". If you’re on the TPS like me, definitely report them at https://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/ - they could get fined big time.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be from Harringtons about a financial issue, they wanted to speak to my husband. Told them I handle any money stuff and they just hung up. Looked up the number and found this website with quite a few others complaining about the same thing. I rang back and had a chat with a woman there; I asked her how they got my number since it’s ex-directory and I’m signed up with the TPS. She said sorry and promised to delete my details from their system. It’s really confusing how they manage to get hold of numbers like mine when I barely share it with anyone except close family.

Just got a ring from this number around 5 in the evening. Some lad was quite pushy, going on about how I could get money back for PPI I supposedly bought by mistake. He claimed to be from a company called Harringtons and mentioned having a list of folks who were wrongly sold PPI. I'm signed up with the TPS, so I'm curious where they get those lists from. I nicely told him I’m not interested in random sales calls and ended the call.

This number has called me like 3 or 4 times wanting to talk to my wife, using her first name. They refused to explain the reason, just hiding behind that data protection law. We’re signed up to the TPS, so how are these pests managing to ring us? Honestly tempted to put the phone near the fire alarm and just set it off to shut them up!

So they rang me up looking for someone I'd never even heard of. When I asked which number they wanted, they just said the one they called me on. They promised to remove it from their records, but honestly, I reckon they were just verifying the number to chuck it onto some database for selling...

So i got a rang today and they were asking for my ex, by name no less - which is super weird cos he shouldnt have this number at all! When i asked them where they found it, they just said somethin about data protection and wouldnt explain. It bugs me not just that it was a cold call but that they're associating my ex's name with my phone number, which makes no sense. How can i find out whats going on here?

Someone rang me claiming to be from "Harringtons of Berwick" about some Payment Protection Insurance I supposedly got back in the 80s. I told them I'm on the TPS list and quickly hung up. Later, I looked up the number 0161 814 9269 they called from, but when I tried to ring back, there was just silence. Makes me question if Harringtons of Berwick is even real.

While I was at work, the phone rang at home and my partner picked up. The caller claimed he was from Harrington and asked to speak to me by just my first name. My partner told him I wasn’t available, to which he replied he’d try again later. I told her if they call back, to let them know the conversation is being recorded and that I’d be billing them £10 for each minute they keep me hanging with pointless calls.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Harringtons. After a bit of pushing, they admitted they were a financial services outfit. They said they’d been told I’d been wrongly sold PPI and offered to recover it for me, no win no fee. When I said anyone can do this on their own, the bloke insisted I was wrong and when I challenged him, he just snapped, “Well, you better sort it yourself then, love.” Proper cheeky and rude the whole time, constantly cutting me off and definitely not telling the truth.

I’ve had a couple of calls like this. First time, someone phoned looking for my wife; when I said she wasn’t around, they just hung up straight away. The second time, same thing - they wanted to speak to her, and when I asked what it was about, the person said “Paul from Huyton” then dropped the call without another word. I tried ringing the number a couple of times myself but all I got was silence and then it just went dead. Very strange.
