Spam call, total scam, stay clear!

Got a call on my private mobile from someone who didn’t leave a message. If you actually need to get hold of me, you’ll have to go through my office first. They add your number to my phone, so then you’re not just some random cold caller. Easy as. Anyone skipping that step is probably not legit.

I got this number ringing me and ended up stuck in what felt like an endless call centre hold. Definitely seems like one of those dodgy scam calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Citizens Advice about a debt I supposedly owe, which is definitely not true. I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I picked up the phone, and to my surprise, a voice with a distinctly American accent began to spiel, claiming, "Your call is incredibly important to us, so kindly hold the line." Without a second thought, I just ended the call straight away.

Claims to be affiliated with the local council, yet when I probed further about which one, they just kept saying 'your council'. After a bit of back and forth, they eventually mentioned 'Portsmouth'.
They're trying to pitch some solar panels for my roof, but honestly, it comes across as quite dodgy.
When I pointed out that the council should be aware I don’t actually have a roof to install them on, the caller seemed rather perplexed.
