This number rings me a couple of times daily on weekdays, and it’s been going on for ages now. When I pick up, there’s nothing but silence or some muffled noise, sometimes with swearing in the background. No clue who it is, and I’m really not bothered to find out.

This place defo has loads of lines! Annoying woman shouted down the phone saying she was being robbed or just cuts off as soon as I pick up. I've blocked all numbers from Manchester with the same first few digits but changing the last couple and still they keep calling from other lines! I’m continually blocking hoping they’ll run out of numbers soon!!! Such a pain!

When I asked what the call was about, he said I was due a refund. I told him I couldn’t chat right then and asked if he could post me the details instead. He said no, because of some government rule or something!!! He was quite insistent and wanted to ring me back later, which I refused. In the end, he told me to avoid chatting and just block the number.

In the last half a day, my phone has been bombarded with six calls from a number I simply don’t recognise. Each time, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. I’ve gone ahead and lodged a complaint with Ofcom online, categorising these as silent calls. I found out his name is Ryan Hopkins, and when I asked him to take me off their list, he just kept repeating the same thing like a broken record. I told him plenty of times to stop calling, but he wouldn’t, saying I had to claim what I was ‘owed’ first. He was really aggressive and rude, shouting and acting so arrogant. It honestly felt like harassment. In the end, I just blocked the number.

I actually spoke to someone who claimed to represent the Money Advice Centre, insisting that I had been overcharged on loans, mortgages, and other credit agreements. They said they could carry out a complete credit check to uncover my policy numbers. That’s when I decided to hang up - it's clearly a scam! Interestingly, the bloke initially claimed he wasn't from any of those dodgy firms fishing for accidents I never experienced. It's outrageous that these individuals are still allowed to operate, and I really think the government should step in and shut them down. A chap named Pret identified himself as being with the Money Advice Centre, which he claimed is sanctioned by the Ministry of Justice. He mentioned that all the legalities are supposedly handled by their associated entity, Thompson Legal. In essence, they’re merely on the hunt for PPI claims.
