I've been getting calls from 0161 814 7600 non stop too. Answered once today and told the person on the line to stop calling me, but she kept asking why I wanted my number taken off their list! I said I haven't been in any accident and asked how they even got my info to call me in the first place. It sounds like some dodgy scam or something, so I've just blocked the number now.

It rings a couple of times and just stops before I get to pick up. On some occasions, if I do manage to answer, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. This is basically how random digit dialling operates. The company’s system generates phone numbers and dials them. If an agent is available, the call goes through with their sales script, but if no one is free, you just get dead air. Sadly, once you answer, their system flags your number as active and keeps calling it unless the call reaches an agent who actually listens and marks you as "do not contact". A lot don’t bother, so your number gets thrown back into their calling pool, meaning you’ll keep getting calls. They don’t actually have your personal details, just the number.

Trying to block these numbers doesn’t seem to do anything. They just keep ringing, asking for some bloke called Michael, no idea who that is. I’ve told them that if they call again, I’ll take legal action for harassment. I think it’s illegal but I’m going to get some advice myself and will update here once I know for sure. If that’s the only option, maybe we should start a crowdfunding to cover the costs. Everyone should keep a detailed log of when these calls come through so we can finally do something about it!

They've been calling me loads about owing £10,000 from a car accident. Thing is, I've got epilepsy and never driven a day in my life. Had a look at my blocked calls on my old Note 4, and they've tried ringing me 123 times over the past couple of months - all within about 5 weeks. Proper annoying!

Had a chat with them a few weeks back, they sent over some forms which I only filled out to get them off my back. Then they called again to check if I’d done the forms, I told them I wasn’t interested and asked them not to call me anymore.
