I've been receiving calls from 0161 814 7600 as well. So, I finally picked up today, hoping to sort it out. I told the person on the other end that I didn’t wish to receive any more calls, but she insisted on knowing my reasons for wanting my number taken off their list! I mentioned that I’m not involved in any accidents and questioned how they'd even got hold of my information to begin with. It’s truly absurd - they must be a dodgy operation or something similar. I've promptly added their number to my block list!

I receive these calls where the phone rings only a couple of times before abruptly disconnecting, leaving me puzzled. On the rare occasion it rings long enough for me to pick up, I’m met with nothing but dead air. This is classic random digit dialing, you see. The company’s system generates a phone number at random and proceeds to dial it. If one of their agents happens to be available, the call is handed over to them, complete with their scripted sales pitch. If not, silence ensues since there’s no one to respond. The moment I answer, however, their system flags my number as active, leading to further calls unless it gets diverted to an actual agent who marks it down as “do not call back.” But in this industry, it’s common for many callers to ignore this directive and simply funnel the number back into their rotation, so you’re likely to hear from them again. They truly don’t have access to your personal information or details.

Trying to block these numbers doesn’t seem to do anything. They just keep ringing, asking for some bloke called Michael, no idea who that is. I’ve told them that if they call again, I’ll take legal action for harassment. I think it’s illegal but I’m going to get some advice myself and will update here once I know for sure. If that’s the only option, maybe we should start a crowdfunding to cover the costs. Everyone should keep a detailed log of when these calls come through so we can finally do something about it!

They've been calling me loads about owing £10,000 from a car accident. Thing is, I've got epilepsy and never driven a day in my life. Had a look at my blocked calls on my old Note 4, and they've tried ringing me 123 times over the past couple of months - all within about 5 weeks. Proper annoying!

Had a chat with them a few weeks back, they sent over some forms which I only filled out to get them off my back. Then they called again to check if I’d done the forms, I told them I wasn’t interested and asked them not to call me anymore. Today they rang but hung up after just a few seconds, maybe they finally took on board what I said last time.
