Such a nuisance, honestly these firms should really be taken to task. They’ve rung me up at ridiculous times, like 7 in the morning and even 9 at night. It feels like harassment. I’m keen to find out the company’s proper name, where they’re officially registered, and how to get in touch with their main office.

So this company called Easy Claims Collection said they could help with PPI claims going back to the 70s, no papers needed or anything. They rang both my hubby and me on our mobiles, saying we were on some list for previous PPI claims and it was just a quick check to make sure we got everything. Thing is, we’ve never claimed PPI at all. Even though we’re on the TPS, the caller said that didn’t matter since we supposedly hadn’t updated it or something about a legal list. When I asked to speak to a manager or their data protection officer to get more info about this list, the bloke just took my email and started laughing and whistling! Proper rude and patronising, and all out of the blue. I’m gonna be dropping them an email today at [email protected] to sort this out.

I keep getting calls every week from this number (0161 814 6312), claiming they're from Legal & General about a personal injury claim. They ask if I’ve got a claim or if I want to make one. I’ve never had dealings with Legal & General apart from asking for an insurance quote once, so I reckon it’s probably a scam.

Someone called asking about a car crash I was supposedly involved in, which is weird coz I never had any accident. They seemed to know more than me about it.

This number called me yesterday (4th September). It was a loud call centre. They said they were from Legal and General and also MIB, standing for Motor Insurance Bureau, they said. They wanted to chat about a car accident supposedly in the last 5 years. They didn’t have any info but offered £3500 if I was found not at fault. Ridiculous but kinda creepy. I’m not insured with L and G and my only car accident was back in ’76. The woman with an Indian accent said her name was Helena Holmes. These sort of scammers are awful.

They didnt say any company name, just said they do financial reviews. Said I'll be getting some letter of authority in the mail that I supposedly have to sign and return so they can get me "money I might have paid for financial services". Sounds like a total scam to me.

This number has been calling my work phone loads but never leaves a voicemail. Earlier, I was busy texting my daughter who’s at school and ignored the call. After that, her text convo started showing messages like, thanks for taking our offer. But when I tried to open these messages, they just vanished and I was left with the usual chat. Pretty weird, especially since I never picked up the call in the first place.

I got a call from a woman named Amelia - she wouldn’t say her surname - who said she was with Legal and General Services. She asked if we'd been in a car crash. She only had my husband’s name (who isn’t the main policyholder), along with our address and phone number, which felt really odd. I didn’t give her any details and told her I’d look into it before getting back to her. But after reading some other reviews, I’m definitely not going to ring back and will just block the number instead.
