Despite my clear disinterest, he continued to press the matter, and ultimately ended the call when I pointed out that his approach was unacceptable. He claimed to have sourced my information from the National Accident Database, which I can confirm is a fictitious entity. It seems that my insurance provider, HASTINGS DIRECT (who have also delivered quite subpar service), has shared my personal information with a third party without my permission. I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning I should not be subjected to these intrusive calls.
