They dont actually have your number, what they do is pick a number like 07414647290 and then just keep adding numbers on the end like 91, 92, 93, etc. Then they somehow get your name from your mobile provider, who sell this info to pretty much anyone. They called me saying I was due a refund. When I asked for their contact info and phone number, they suddenly went silent and then gave me a totally different number. Afterward, they asked for my birth date, and I told them I'd read any paperwork that was meant to arrive at my house first. I said I'd sign if it looked ok and would call back. Then the guy started pleading for the 6-digit code (my birth date), but I just kept saying I'd ring them later. Eventually, I just hung up. They claimed to be from Financial Justice, and the number they gave was 0825085678.
