This number has been calling me a couple times every day for the past two weeks. It rings about four times and then cuts off, never leaving a voicemail. Not many folks have my number, so I'm wondering how they managed to get it. According to your website, they claim to be AAB Legal and try to convince you that you’ve been involved in a car crash. Since they might just pass my number on if I engage with them, I’m just ignoring the calls and hoping they’ll give up and think the number is no longer active.

AAB Legal keeps calling me every single day saying I was in a car accident. They always sound like they’re speaking with an Indian accent. Whenever I ask them to verify my name and give me details about the accident, they just hang up straight away.

Sounds like it was one of those accident claim scams. It wasn’t really from Manchester though, because they were faking the number. Calls from Manchester use 0161 at the start, but this one showed up as +161, which usually means it’s from abroad. Plus, the person on the line had a strong Indian accent that was difficult to follow, so it all adds up.

Got three calls from this number. The callers had a heavy non-English accent and claimed to be from some call centre working with insurance firms about a "car accident". So I got a call from this guy Jordan at Abbey Legal, proper heavy accent, said they'd heard I’d been in a crash where someone hit the back of my car. I said, “Yeah, that’s right.” Then he goes, “When was that, sir?” I told him, “Around 1999.” After that, Jordan just cut the call dead - no sorry for bothering me, no ‘take care’, not even a goodbye. Bit rude if you ask me.
