Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming his name was Edward White. He said I’d be getting a letter soon about a refund I’m supposedly owed from a bank. Not my bank, just “A BANK”. Apparently, this bank has millions set aside for refunds. Sounded dodgy straight away. When I asked him to verify my address, he gave me a postcode I used to live at five years ago. Definitely fishy. I told him to delete any info they had on me (like that would actually happen) and then I blocked the number. No doubt they’ll ring back soon from another one. These scams never seem to quit.

Just got a call from an Indian bloke saying he can help me get my money back from the bank!! Told him I’m not bothered and ended the call, this is happening way too often, someone needs to put a stop to it!

Dont give them any info, they’re total scammers. When me and my missus answered, we could hear strange noises in the background, like people giggling, not what a proper call centre sounds like. Make sure you report the number to Action Fraud, you can find it online.
