I recently encountered a rather pushy chap with a South African lilt during one of those unsolicited calls. To be perfectly honest, I find these interactions quite amusing. Having spent a quarter of a century in the respectable side of finance, I'm well-equipped to highlight the caller's naivety. Oftentimes, I feign interest and assure them I must put them on hold while I fetch the colleague who handles such matters for me. I then strategically place the phone by the radio and let it play for a good while. It may be a bit immature, sure, but there’s an undeniable thrill in revisiting the call after a lengthy pause and telling them I’d rather endure torture than engage in their dubious dealings!

Avoid picking up this number!! They’re total scammers. They tried to get my bank info after claiming to offer services like home and car insurance through my bank. I made it clear I wasn’t interested and don’t have those things. Then the guy said he’s going to file a complaint since my bank supposedly charged me for stuff I never signed up for!
