Receiving calls at ridiculous hours, such as nearly 8 in the evening, only to have the caller hang up after a few rings is more than enough reason for me to disregard any future calls from that number. Oddly enough, just earlier today, I picked up a call from a withheld number, since my husband is presently going through pre-operative consultations at the hospital. They typically reach me on my mobile using a withheld number. To my surprise, the caller was inquiring about an accident I supposedly had in the last two years (thankfully, I haven't been in any). It strikes me as a likely ploy from the same company, perhaps trying out a different approach!

What a pack of absolute muppets! They're pretending to be doing some sort of work, but honestly, it’s all a bit of a scam. They’ll ask you if you've been in an accident - just nod along to all their queries and act like you witnessed the whole thing from the bus. It's quite the farce, isn't it?

In the past week or thereabouts, I've received calls about four out of five times where they go silent and simply hang up after a mere five or six seconds. Quite peculiar, really!
