9 yearsI was unfortunate enough to receive a call today from a particularly rude and arrogant chap! He proceeded to inform me that he had details about my renewal, claiming to have insights regarding an accident I was involved in back in 2016. When I inquired about where he was calling from, he snapped back that he had already mentioned it, saying, “Can’t you hear me?” I replied, “Pardon?” to which he responded, “Yes, you’re excused.” Then, in a dramatic fashion, he said, “OMG” before abruptly ending the call. It came through as a dialler, so it's clear it was a cold call. I'm genuinely concerned about how an elderly person might react to such a confrontation; it could have led to all sorts of distress. This sort of thing really needs to be addressed!OMG9 yearsToday, I had the misfortune of receiving a call from a rather insufferable chap! He claimed he had details regarding my renewal and mentioned a supposed accident I was involved in back in 2016. When I politely inquired about the origin of his call, he responded in a rather haughty manner, insisting he had already mentioned it and rudely questioning my ability to listen. I was taken aback and said, "Pardon?" to which he cheekily replied, "Oh, you’re excused." Following this, he exclaimed "OMG" and promptly slammed down the phone. The call came through as a dialler, confirming it was indeed a cold call. Just imagine if this had reached an elderly individual - it could have had quite distressing consequences. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and absolutely must be addressed!OMGSubmit Your Own Report (0161 814 2019)
