9 yearsI just had a rather dubious phone call from this number. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed a few peculiar calls coming from different Manchester area codes. An Asian gentleman, who introduced himself as ‘Andy’, claimed they were going to send me a cheque worth £2,500 and wanted me to verify my address. I had to cut him off mid-sentence, but, frustratingly, it seemed he had at least my door number right, which makes me think they might actually have my personal details. When I pressed him to clarify which company or transaction he believed I’d been mis-sold (like Halifax or Lloyds), he couldn’t provide an answer. The call concluded with a multitude of apologies on his part. Quite suspicious!ManchesterAndyHalifaxLloyds9 yearsCan anyone shed light on who keeps ringing me? It always seems to happen at the worst possible moments!9 yearsKeeps ringing me incessantly. I simply don’t bother answering.9 yearsI’m absolutely fed up with these incessant calls to my mobile! Is there no way to take legal action against them?9 yearsI received a rather suspicious call on my mobile earlier today. An individual with an Indian accent informed me that I would be receiving some correspondence regarding a refund linked to my credit card. When I probed for further details, she mentioned an amount close to £2,500, which immediately raised my eyebrows. I sought clarification but found it quite baffling, apart from her mentioning that I'd receive two documents-one to complete and the other to retain. It struck me as a blatant scam, so I expressed my disbelief at being due such a sum and insisted I needed more information. Then she offered to connect me with someone else who might be clearer, but the second voice was just as hard to understand. At that point, I decided enough was enough and hung up.Submit Your Own Report (0161 814 0818)
