I keep getting calls from someone who knows my name, asking if it’s me about some insurance renewal. I told them my insurance is for a leasehold car, so it’s not relevant. When I said I’d block the number, the person said I don’t know why they’re calling me - but that’s the first thing they said when I picked up! Proper confusing.

So this number rang me up saying I'd been in some sort of accident. Funny enough, I work in sales myself and tried to pitch them a product - only difference is, I didn’t cold call them out the blue and honestly, what I sell isn't even any good! :)

Somebody rang up saying I'd been in a car crash, which made no sense ’cos I haven't been behind the wheel for ages, well over 20 years. Then they changed the story, saying I was a passenger in the accident, which is just rubbish. It sounded like one of those big call centres, you could hear loads of voices chatting away in the background. The number showed up as Manchester, but the person speaking had a South African accent, and I could hear more South African voices on the line behind them. Proper laughable Manchester! Surely there must be a way to block these numbers or make this sort of thing illegal?

Got a call about some small car crash that supposedly happened to me in the past two years. I just told them they were talking nonsense since I don’t own a car! Then I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
