‭01618084790‬ rang me, and it was some bloke from India calling me by my old last name (and calling me Mr when I’m definitely Miss, haha). He said he was from some life insurance firm, but his English was so bad I couldn't make out which one. I told him I don’t have any life insurance with them, so bugger off. He kept asking who he was speaking to, so I gave him a fake name and told him again to drop it. I’ve blocked the number now, but I’m sure they’ll try ringing back.

Someone said they were from Aviva but the way she spoke so fast and kinda unclear made me doubt if it was legit. I told her it wasn’t a good moment and asked if they could ring at the weekend, but she said they only work Mon to Fri (even tho I have an Aviva number that says they’re open more). When I asked for a callback number, she just said ‘this one’ without actually giving it and then cut off suddenly. Looks really dodgy and after seeing all these other reviews, definitely seems like a scam. Watch out!

Got a cold call earlier today. A guy with a really strong foreign accent, calling himself Ryan, rang me but used the wrong name. I played along anyway. He said he was from Aviva and Sun Alliance and started asking about my life insurance. The moment I mentioned Aviva, the call just dropped. Watch out, there's some dodgy scammers around!

Somebody rang claiming to be from Aviva and wanted to talk to a man. Obviously not me, I’m a woman! I asked where they got my number from and told them I don’t have any policy with Aviva. They kept pushing with questions but I didn’t answer. When I said I’d report them for harassment, they didn’t take it well. Also asked them to remove my number but they wouldn’t. In the end, I just blocked the number.

I just received yet another phone call from an Indian woman inquiring about a Mr. Gracie. Honestly, this must be about the fifteenth time since March that I’ve been pestered about this individual, despite the fact that I’ve repeatedly told them no one by that name lives here. This time, I asked her how she came across my number. When she mentioned it was regarding some Insurance Review firm, she promptly hung up without shedding any light on how they got hold of my ex-directory number. Quite baffling, to say the least!

Complete muppets calling here - clear as day English isn’t their first language. They were going on about my insurance switching to something called MED Life, promising heaps of benefits for less dosh. Yeah, right, less money! Then got passed on to some broker with a thick Manchester accent who hadn’t a clue what policy I even had, or what the first muppet had told him. Total nonsense, even Stevie Wonder would see through it. Best to steer well clear, or just pretend you’re interested then hang up and waste their time :)

Got a call from 0161 808 4790 last Tuesday, some asian bloke asking if I had a funeral plan and if I was covered for covid 19. I rang up my provider afterwards and they had no idea about these calls.

Got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent claiming they were from various big insurance companies, named loads of them. Said I’d missed my life insurance review and with all the stuff going on lately, they wanted to check if I was overpaying. Didn’t trust it, wasn’t interested, ended the call and blocked the number.

There’s usually a pause before they pick up, and the woman has a strong foreign accent. You can hear loads of background noise too. I get loads of calls like this, and once I asked what she wanted, she got really rude and just hung up on me. I blocked her number but they keep calling from other similar numbers. Some bloke with an Indian accent says he’s “not selling anything” but tells my mum her BT payments might fail ‘cos her credit card info is outdated - then asks her to confirm her details. Luckily, she knew something was off since she doesn’t even pay BT by card. Now she’s got BT’s real number, 1572, and plans to block the caller next time. Got a call from a lady talking with a South African accent, claiming to be from 'The Insurance Centre'. I mentioned that I believed our policies were managed closer to home, and she said she wasn’t trying to sell anything, just wanted to do a quick review. I told her my partner handles all insurance stuff, so she asked if she could speak to him on my phone. I said fine for her to ring back at 10am the next day, then ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

The first time they called, someone said my insurance was running out, but when I asked what kind of insurance, they couldn’t say whether it was for my house, car, or health. So I just ended the call. Then about half an hour later, they phoned again and told me I’d been in a crash and my claim got approved, which is rubbish because I never had any accident. I’ve blocked the number now.

I received a phone call from 01618084790, and the chap on the other end had quite the English accent. He claimed to be from some 'Insurance bureau'-though I can’t recall the exact name-to discuss my life insurance policy. I politely declined his offer. He was quite courteous about it, but I reminded him that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning he shouldn't even be contacting me. He assured me he would remove my number from his list, but I highly doubt that will actually happen!
