Today, I got a call from this West Midlands number at about 1pm, but I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave any voicemail either. Pretty sure they’ll ring back soon using a number that’s just a little different. Cheers for having this site, it’s really useful!

I had a call come through with no voicemail left, so now I’m just blocking any calls from numbers that don’t leave a message. If they’re listed as neutral on this site, I might give them one more shot, but if they don’t leave a message again, they’re blocked for good.

They told me the government needed to carry out some checks on folks within a certain age range and wanted to confirm I had the right paperwork. They began asking about my documents, so I asked how they got my phone number. They claimed it was from an opt-in list they bought from reputable companies. I told them cold calling was unlawful and that I had to know who actually provided the opt-in details. They couldn’t say but insisted it was a trustworthy company.

Sometimes i get calls from numbers i dont know but wanna find out who they are so i pick up and just stay silent. Usually, after a second or two, i hear a click and then nothing. If i catch some people talking in the background, i just hang up straight away. If it was something important, they’d probably leave a voicemail anyway.
