A woman reached out, purporting to be from TalkTalk, insisting there were problems with my internet connection. She requested my personal information to address the so-called issue. It was clear as daylight that this was a scam attempt.

Just got completely ripped off by these lot. Seriously, don't get caught up in their nonsense. I had a real issue with BT virus protection, and somehow they've taken out a big loan in my name. Proper dodgy.

Just wanted to say that earlier I got a call from an Asian woman. I’m with TalkTalk, so I called their customer service using the number from my account. After checking it out with them, they confirmed that the number definitely isn’t from TalkTalk - it’s a scam for sure.

I got a call claiming to be from BT suggesting there was some security problem with my broadband, and that it might get cut off. They asked me to jump on my computer so they could fix it, but I said no and they just hung up. Definitely looked like a scam to me.

Somebody pretending to be from TalkTalk called me. I suspected straight away it was a scam, so I played along for a bit just to mess with them. After a while, I told the bloke to bugger off and not to call me again. Absolute idiots. That’s the only way to handle these muppets.

Got another call today and I’ve just reported it to TalkTalk. They will never ring you asking for your full password, only a couple of digits to keep things safe. Also, they won’t use your TalkTalk account number to prove the call is legit. And if you’re a TalkTalk customer, your bank details are already stored with them, so they won’t ask for that to sort out any refunds.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was with TalkTalk tech support. It was the second time he'd rung me that day. I told him he wasn’t with TalkTalk and to leave me alone. He just hung up on me. Then he phoned back a few minutes later and started shouting and being really rude.

Got a call from an asian guy claiming to be from Sky, said something about errors with my broadband but he didn’t know my name. Just hung up on him straight away. I tried to get in touch with Sky to report it but couldn’t get through to anyone, and none of the automated options matched what I wanted to say. Really don’t understand why these big firms aren’t doing more to stop these annoying calls by blocking the numbers properly.

Got a call today from a woman with an Asian accent who claimed to be from TalkTalk, but the background noise was so loud I could barely catch a word. She just kept yammering on and on, and I had to shout just to get her to stop. Honestly, I still didn't have a clue what she was going on about, so I just hung up. If that really was TalkTalk, they seriously need to get someone who can speak clearly and tell their noisy office to keep it down. How much longer are these absolute nuisances gonna be allowed to carry on? Surely the authorities need to step up and deal with these calls coming through from redirected numbers, acting like they're from the UK. And what about those who've been flogging these numbers off so they get rerouted to India? Why aren't they in trouble with the law already? It's just a proper scam, punishing innocent folks.

Some bloke rang saying he was from BT and that someone was on my wifi. He told me I had to do what he said to fix it. I told him he was just trying to scam me, and then he just cut the call.

Got a call from someone with a heavy foreign accent saying my BT broadband had issues, even though I don't have BT at all. They wouldn't listen when I said I'm not a BT user and kept insisting everyone in the UK has BT! I just ended the call. Later, the same number, but a bit different - 01618035289 - called again, telling the same thing. Probably a good idea to block that one as well.

Got a call from this number today, and actually a couple days ago a very close one rang me too. Both times, no voicemail or anything was left. They really shouldn’t be bothering people on the TPS list. It’s clear these are dodgy calls. Don’t share any of your details with them, seriously.

I got a call from an asian guy claiming to be from Skype, said there was some error on my internet connection. Didn’t know me or anything, sounded dodgy so I just hung up. Tried to get in touch with Skype to report it, but couldn’t speak to anyone and the automated options didn’t help at all. Seriously, why don’t these big companies do more to stop these scammy numbers? It’s really frustrating.
