Got a call from a woman, sounded like she was from India or Pakistan, claiming she was with TT. She said my internet was sluggish and some files on my PC were corrupted. I told her my internet and computer were fine, then she just said goodbye and ended the call. Classic scam attempt if you ask me!

A bloke with an accent rang and asked if he was speaking to Mr... (my actual name). I said yes, then he just ended the call and never rang back. No clue how he even found out my name since I’m pretty cautious about sharing it.

I got a couple of calls today from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk’s tech team, saying my internet had been slow for the last fortnight. I didn’t buy it at all, and the bloke started getting rude and annoyed with me. He even threatened to cut off my internet by morning if I didn’t cooperate. I told him to do whatever he liked and ended the call. From what I’ve heard, TalkTalk would never ring you out of the blue like that, so watch out!

Totally a con. They said they were from BT. The person on the phone even asked me to check "My IP Location" on Google, which just ended up showing Google’s own IP and somewhere in Mountain View, as if that proves my computer was hacked. After I didn’t buy any of it, they just ended the call after about seven minutes. Glad I didn’t get tricked, hopefully it stops them scamming someone else.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Alex from Talk Talk, talking about my internet. I told him I don’t even have internet, then all he said was “Oh!” before cutting off. Seems like one of those dodgy scams to me.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with Talk Talk, saying there was a problem with my computer. When I asked where she was calling from, she said Evesham Street, W11. I asked which part of London she’d come from for work, but she just kept going on about Evesham Street, getting a bit dodgy. I knew it was a scam, so I just hung up.

Got a call from someone with a really thick foreign accent claiming there's an issue with my BT broadband, but I don’t even have BT or any problems with my internet. This is the third time they’ve rung me today. I wouldn’t bother answering if I were you.

Picked up the phone and nothing but silence, then suddenly this recorded voice just said "goodbye". Probably some kind of auto-dialer trying to reach loads of folks at the same time. I've put the number on my block list now.
