I've been getting calls from an unknown number over and over again. It's quite annoying, to be honest.

I received a phone call from someone claiming they were phoning to renew my Amazon Prime subscription, which is odd because I’ve never had one. They mentioned that they'd be taking £89.99 from my bank account. Sounds quite dodgy to me!

Someone called me claiming my Amazon Prime was compromised and offered to fix it. I was dead sure it was a scam so I just let them babble for a bit. When they finished, I told them how well they recited the lines from their little script, word for word. It’s sad the tricks people will try to con others. Plus, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! Bet they felt pretty daft after that, especially since a different bloke tried the same stunt on me just the day before. Not surprised when they hung up on me.

I picked up and it just cut off right away, got one like that last weekend too with some sort of robotic voice.

Some person calling herself ‘Olivia’ claimed to be from Amazon Prime, asking if i want to cancel or keep my subscription. I knew straight away it was a scam so i started ranting about how awful Jeff Bezos is, spending loads on space trips instead of looking after his staff. After i gave her a piece of my mind, she must’ve got fed up cos ‘Olivia’ just ended the call, quick as that!

Got a call about amazon prime, but couldn't hear much cause of noise in background and the person wouldn’t say their name properly. I’d already had a call around 10 minutes before from another number about the same thing. Figured it was dodgy, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Received a call supposedly from Amazon Prime, but the caller wouldn't disclose their name. With all the background racket, it had the hallmarks of a call centre. I ended the call, especially since I had a similar one just ten minutes earlier from another number.

got a call from some bloke with a south london accent, i didnt pick up straight away and when i finally did, all i heard was silence. put the phone down off the hook and went away for a bit. after about a minute and a half, the phone started making this weird, eerie noise kinda like the sound in close encounters of the 3rd kind! watch out, deffs scammers ringing around.

Some bloke rang me up saying money was stolen from my Amazon account. I told him Amazon wouldn’t call me out of the blue as they don’t have my number, so he was obviously trying to con me. He wouldn’t back down, just went on about ‘madam, once money’s gone from your account, it’s your problem’. I cheekily asked if he got a cut from every person he ripped off, and then he just hung up on me.

I got a call from this number saying they needed to check my Amazon Prime account and verify my ID. When I refused, they just cut the call straightaway. Isn't there anything the phone companies can do to block these types of calls? They should make it so you can’t even sign up a number without legit business verification and proper ID, that way these scammers could be caught and dealt with.

They said they could cancel my Amazon Prime charge of £89.99, but there was loads of noise in the background and it all sounded fishy.
