I just received a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be from "the claims advisory service." As soon as I asked how they acquired my number, they refused to say. When I expressed my frustration about this unwelcome interruption to my day and my privacy, they had the audacity to call me a "ranter." Quite ridiculous, really!

I've just received a call that seemed to have all my credit card and loan details. Quite frustrating, isn't it? “If you're going to carry on with that sort of attitude, I might as well lend a hand to someone else.” How presumptuous!

I’ve just experienced something eerily similar! The moment I asked how he managed to get my number, he claimed that certain companies purchase lists of individuals who’ve applied for loans. The odd thing is, I've never applied for a loan and have never given out my mobile number, not even as a reference! When I pressed him about the unsolicited call, he mentioned something about a news report from a week or so back, which supposedly permits them to do this. I registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) quite some time ago, but it certainly seems like these callers have found a way to bypass it lately!
