Got a ring from someone overseas, the typical “hello madam, how are you?” bit. The lady’s accent was really hard to make out, but she mentioned something about “I’m calling from blah, blah card readers,” and then asked if I use one of their machines. I never give my name out to unknown numbers, and I’m careful not to say yes or no because I heard scammers can record your voice and use it later. I just told her I don’t speak to strangers about these things. Seems like a dodgy money-related scam to me.

The caller had a strong accent and was talking about some card device. They were quite polite and didn’t hassle me after I told them I wasn’t interested.
