Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, chatty about card payment machines and trying to pitch Dojo as the provider. Sounds dodgy to me, probably just a scam to grab your info and use it for fraud somewhere else. Best to steer clear.

Someone kept ringing me to pitch a card machine. I cut them off and blocked the number, but they rang again straight away - my phone’s set to divert to my personal line if I don’t answer. I declined that one too and blocked them once more! Checking my blocked calls, it seems they still haven’t taken the hint and keep giving it another go.

WAS TRYING TO SELL ME STUFF, SO I JUST CUT THE CALL OFF. THE FORM WOULDNT LET ME SEND IT WITHOUT FILLING MORE, SO I’M JUST TALKING RUBBISH TO FILL IT UP. ANYWAY, HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY!

The moment I picked up, all I could hear was quiet from their side. Then suddenly, the background filled with loads of chatter, like a call centre or something. Someone answered with a “hello, how are you?” in a clear Indian accent. Totally a SCAM, no doubt about it. SCAM!

Epstinks and your lot, why don’t you bother your own relatives instead of pestering us? Give it a rest, honestly.

We had a really odd error pop up on our card machine that we've never encountered before. Right at that moment, this number rang up asking if we were having issues with our payment terminal. It really felt like they might have hacked into our device remotely and were fishing for money or our security info. The timing was way too coincidental. It's quite worrying if they can actually tamper with our terminal like that.

Card Machine sales B2B, blocked. Usual call centre cold call.

Got a call from some bloke trying to flog card readers. Judging by what people are saying here, it sounds like a dodgy scam to me.

Just a few minutes before this call, I got another one from a different number, and when I asked who it was, the person just told me to ‘F*** off’ and wouldn’t say their name. Then this caller claimed to be from Annex Consultants. What a bizarre couple of calls!

My workplace got a ring from these lot, and I could hear some telly blaring in the background. They started with the usual "Good morning, Ma'am," but it was well past lunchtime. When I asked what the call was actually about, they seemed thrown off. There was a long silence, then they stuttered, "Ah, yes, you’re entitled to ask that, Ma’am... about this call..." before rushing into a fast-talking spiel about a card machine. Total SCAM, steer clear!

First, they push you to buy this DXX8000 card machine, and when you refuse, they switch to offering some power service. If you say no again, they get pretty cheeky about it. Really annoying!

Got a call from someone trying to push a card reader on me, definitely felt like a scam.

Got called by these energy scammers, they kept switching numbers after I cut off. Told them I’d report every one of the numbers to the police. Then they phoned again from the same number but had changed the caller ID to "Utility Wize". Best to just block and not bother with them.

Since the 29th of July, they've started this new trick where they don’t let the call go all the way through. It just rings briefly, enough for your phone to show a missed call from them. Seems like they’re hoping folks will ring back without thinking. I’m with O2, if that means anything. I've already gone ahead and blocked the number.

They keep ringing non stop, and no matter how many times I block one number, they just switch to a new one that looks almost the same. Classic dodgy utility scammers!

A bloke with an Indian accent rang me up pitching some credit card machine. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he suddenly switched to saying he could help me reduce my water bill by up to 30%. Problem was, he wouldn’t say how much it would cost unless I emailed him a copy of my bill first. Needless to say, I didn’t bother.

Got two calls from an Indian lady asking about some card machine. I just ended the calls and blocked the number straight away.
