I've just reported this number to Cheshire Police after warning them over the phone that if they phoned me again, I'd take action. I've got 01617897259 saved in my phone as a nuisance call because they keep ringing me non-stop. Told them multiple times both on calls and in writing that this is obviously a scam. The last message I sent said if they ring once more, I know where their office is and have even come face to face with the scammer who tricks people into thinking the call is about a legit job. Got caught up in their scheme nearly 4 years ago, so I warned them next time I'd report it - and guess what? They just called me again. I've also spoken directly to internet and phone providers asking why they don’t block these calls, especially in today’s digital world where it should be easier to stop this nonsense.

Here’s what went down: I was out on a Friday, grabbed 3 grams of coke, it was wicked. Then I got another 3 and then 3 more from someone else. That rude git said “f*** you” and just hung up. Proper cheeky.

When I asked for info, he just hung up on me. Haven’t blocked the number yet as I’m waiting to have another chat with him. I've had a few run ins with the number 0161 7897259. The first call left a voicemail where some bloke kept calling me an idiot over and over. The person on the line knew my first name and said he was from some credit investigation dept but his name wasnt clear at all, then just hung up. Ive blocked the number now. They had an asian accent. Why do telcos not look into and shut down these sorts of numbers? So many real ppl have complained about these calls. I reckon they couldn’t handle me on the phone - if they dropped a swear word on me, they’d get a mouthful back, no doubt about it. It’s really bad behaviour, honestly. Got a call from this number earlier, thought it might be a local school or council since they often start with 0161, but it definitely wasn’t legit. Completely agree with what everyone’s saying here. I just save these numbers straight into my phone, usually under some rubbish label like “Junk” or “Avoid” because I reckon changing the name each time helps me spot them fast. Once you’ve got them saved with a weird name, it’s much easier to just block or ignore the call right away rather than getting annoyed after picking up. Saves a load of hassle in the long run!

I've had a few calls from this number and picked up twice. The bloke claimed he was from Credit Solutions and mentioned some government scheme that could wipe out unsecured debts. Thing is, I don’t owe anything near the amount they talked about, and I’m on top of my card payments anyway! No loans to speak of either. He did say my name and number were handed over to them, but when I asked where from, he wasn’t clear and even admitted he wasn’t sure if they could delete my info from their system. there's no chance you can get yourself taken off a scam callers list. honestly, be super cautious - that’s not how they operate at all. you’ll get caught out if you don’t stay alert when picking up dodgy calls or joining stuff online without doing your homework. some of the more advanced antivirus programs will warn you before you visit a risky site. your phone company might have a way to block unwanted calls too. always report scam callers to ‘<a href="https:/www.actionfraud police uk/report-phishin ‘action fraud</a>".

This number has been ringing me constantly, and the last time they called, it got really nasty. When I mentioned it was the third time in just two days, the bloke immediately started hurling insults, calling me a bitch. I warned I'd report the call and then he swore at me, calling me a “fucking whore.” I had the phone on speaker and my granddaughter was right there with me, so it was awful. He said his name was Derek and claimed to be from credit solutions. No one deserves to be treated like this on a phone call. This happened around 6pm on 16th July 2019. Honestly, I'm so shocked and upset about it - caller was Derek.
