I got a call from someone claiming my broadband was running slow and asked if I’d spotted the same. He said he was from BT and needed to run some checks, saying it’d only take about 5 or 10 minutes. Then he rang again the following day. We just ignored him and have now reported the whole thing to BT as a scam.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, no idea who it was and didn’t bother leaving a message either.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Open saying there was an issue with my account. They wanted me to go on my computer and type in some web address to fix it, something like a google link. I said no, and then the person called me stupid before hanging up. Total scam, for sure!

Just like the one from "2 hours ago" above, this isn't the first time it's happened. I already told BT about it but it looks like they haven't done much to fix the problem. Eventually someone's gonna get caught out and it'll be BT’s fault for ignoring it.
