I’ve been getting calls from what appears to be a debt help service, but I suspect it’s a scam. They’re ringing from a multitude of different area codes, which seems a bit dodgy to me.

I've been getting calls from +441617688387 loads lately but every time I ring it back, it tells me the number isn't valid. When I do pick up the call, they just hang up right away. After this, I usually get calls from a few different 020 numbers offering debt help or life insurance. Feels like the initial landline call is just a way for them to check if your number is live, then once they confirm you’ve answered, the spam calls from those 020 numbers start flooding in. Proper fishing trip if you ask me.
